General Requirements
A family should be registered in the parish for at least six months before the celebration of Baptism or Marriage. It is expected that parents presenting a child for Baptism or candidates for Marriage participate regularly in the liturgical life of the parish.
Baptism
Celebrated on the second weekend of the month (except during Lent)
Preparation:Attendance at a Baptism Preparation Program is required.
Classes are given four times a year (February, May, August, and November)
Marriage
Contact the parish at least six months in advance of the planned date.
Preparation: One of the persons intending to be married must be a
registered member of the parish, a student at the University of Rhode Island
or have a letter of permission from their proper pastor. The couple must participate
in a Marriage Preparation Program at least three months prior to the marriage.
A handout containing all information about music, stipends, flowers, rehearsal,
etc. is given to all engaged couples when they schedule a wedding.
